Saturn, the teacher, turns retrograde on January 13th @ 4°39 Libra.
This retrograde cycle of Saturn is not only taking place in Libra but will also carry back into Virgo, when Saturn re-enters the sign of Virgo on April 7th, bringing to a close our lessons of a Virgo nature when Saturn stations direct @ 27°50 Virgo on May 30th.
These situations/experiences that we first encountered while Saturn was direct will now be focused inward for reflection offering an opportunity for greater understanding to take place and allowing us to make any necessary adjustments to our Saturn area of influence and functions before Saturn once again travels direct and crystallizes our new Saturn related directives.
********************************************
From January 13th until April 7th while Saturn retraces his path through the early degrees of Libra we are given an opportunity to review situations from a different angle that we most recently experienced since Saturn first entered Libra on October 29th of 2009.
For the Libra phase of retrograde:
Saturn Keywords: authority, business, control, father, fear, limitation, practical, responsibility, structure and time
Libra is the sign of relationships and is concerned with balance, fairness and harmony.
To utilize this Saturn retrograde period in Libra effectively, consider what you have experienced in the area of relationships since October 29th and in the function of your house ruled by Libra and it’s related concerns where Saturn has been transiting these past recent weeks.
Points to consider:
Have you been satisfied with recent relationship developments? Are you receiving what you want within your relationships these past weeks or have you been feeling stifled and restricted in some manner? Have others been relating to you that they are satisfied with what you offer to them or having they been voicing discontent that they feel slighted or restricted within their relationship with you? Have your current relationships been strengthened of recent or are have they been eroding or feeling out-grown? Are your relationships currently supportive and nurturing for both parties?
During this retrograde phase in Libra it is time to listen to your inner voice and tweak whatever needs to be adjusted on these relationship matters, before Saturn in direct motion once again travels the first 4° of Libra beginning in July, bringing to culmination any actions that may be due to be taken in these relationships.
***********************************************
This last swing of Saturn back (April 7th – May 30th) and then forward again through Virgo is a culmination of Saturn’s transit through the sign of service for another roughly 30 years. While Saturn will only briefly be in Virgo in the forthcoming months, this is an important time to finish up these Saturn/Virgo affairs, for it will be quite some time before we again visit our Virgo area’s with Saturn.
For the Virgo phase of retrograde:
Saturn Keywords: authority, business, control, father, fear, limitation, practical, responsibility, structure and time
Virgo is the sign of service and is concerned with daily work routines, health and pets.
To utilize the phase of retrograde Saturn in Virgo effectively, consider what you were experiencing the few short weeks when Saturn first traversed Virgo from the 27th° until he exited Virgo for Libra (October 10th – October 29th, 2009), in relation to the Saturn functions within Virgo.
Points to consider:
How were your daily routines those weeks in October? Did you maintain your diet and/or fitness regimens to your satisfaction or did you let it slide in favor of something you felt was more pressing? Did you have any issues arise, with authority and/or father (literal or figuratively), that rocked you off center in your daily routines? How were your pets doing then and is there anything you need to change in their daily care routines that would be of benefit to them?
We are entering our first review with Saturn in Libra and ending our Saturn in Virgo lessons and this should make for an interesting few months ahead!
